NAIROBI, March 28: Kenya are looking to erase memories of their humiliating tour of Bangladesh when they host fellow World Cup qualifiers Holland in their opening Group ‘B’ match of the ICC Intercontinental Cup here on Wednesday. Kenya coach Roger Harper blamed the 4-0 one-day series thrashing to a lack of all round consistency by his side but said it will be a different ball game against Holland in this four-day match.

Long-serving opener and wicket-keeper Kennedy Otieno and his brother David Obuya have been dropped for the four-dayer due to their dismal performances in the sub-continent where they failed to hit the runs in their opening partnership.

Fast bowler Martin Suji has also been rested due to a recurring knee injury which he aggravated during the tour.

Holland, who are grouped with World champions Australia and South Africa in the 2007 World Cup, warmed up for the tournament when they beat Kenya ‘A’ by 100 runs in a build-up match last Sunday.—AFP
