PESHAWAR, March 28: NWFP Minister for Science and Technology Hussain Ahmad Kanju has said that work on Balgram-Nangolai and Baryam-Gat Shawar roads will be launched soon and the roads will ensure better communication facilities to the people of the areas.
The newly constructed building for the Government Girls Degree College in Kanju town, Swat, was ready for functioning, he said.
The minister was talking to the people during inspection of the developmental work at a hospital and construction work at the degree college in Kabal on Tuesday.
He said that 21 water supply schemes had been approved by the federal government, which would solve the problem of drinking water in the area.
He said that a network of educational institutions was being spread throughout the province and the existing institutions were being improved.
The minister directed the authorities concerned to complete the development schemes within stipulated time.
Thanking the people for actively participating in a recently held public convention of the Jamaat Islami, Mr Kanju expressed the hope that it would prove to be a milestone for an Islamic revolution in the country.
He said that the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal would keep on striving for enforcement of Islamic system in the country and they would not hesitate to offer any sacrifice for the cause of Islam.—PPI
