LAKKI MARWAT, March 27: Speakers at an educational convention here on Monday called upon teachers to fulfil their responsibilities and impart knowledge to students in an effort to boost the country’s literacy rate.
The district chapter of Wahdat-e-Asateza had organised the event at the government higher secondary school in Serai Naurang.
Those who spoke on this occasion included provincial president of Wahdat-e-Asateza Mushtaq Kakakhel, district president Maulana Tameezuddin, EDO Schools and Literacy Lakki Attaullah Khan Meenakhel and others.
With their words and deeds, the speakers said, teachers should be ready to become the spiritual father of students in a real way. Participants were urged to concentrate on building the character of students.
“We can prepare the new generation for future challenges only by imparting standard education,” one of the speakers said.
