Lakki police arrest outlaw after encounter

LAKKI MARWAT: The police arrested a proclaimed offender in injured condition after an exchange of fire near Sarfraz Landaka area of Serai Naurang town.

A police official said on Saturday the clash took place on a rural road where the wanted man and his accomplices had come to loot passengers.

A party of Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police reached the area, the official said, adding the armed men opened fire on the police, triggering a gun battle as the cops also returned the attack.

He said when the firing stopped the police launched a search and arrested a suspect in injured condition. He was wanted by police in robbery and other cases.
