SWABI: The spokesperson of provincial organising committee of National Democratic Movement (NDM), Bushra Gohar said here on Monday that law and order in the province was precarious and people were worried about their lives.

She was talking to journalists during her visit to Swabi Press Club (SPC) to congratulate its cabinet for completing the process of members’ registration. She said that the prevailing law and order posed a grave threat to Pakhtun region, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

She claimed that NDM was the only political party that expressed reservations over Doha Agreement about Afghanistan and demanded that all stakeholders should be taken into account.

Ms Gohar said that they were struggling to change the flaw-ridden landscape of politics because the involvement of money in politics shattered true democratic order and nascent democracy in Pakistan.

“We should now have to pass the responsibilities to young leaders and stand with them to promote ideological politics,” she said.

To a question, the NDM leader said that education sector was in a bad shape across the province and there was a dire need to provide all required facilities for imparting modern education to young generation.

KILLED: A man was killed in Manki village of Chota Lahor tehsil on the night between Sunday and Monday.

Gul Hayat told police that he was informed that unidentified persons had killed his 37-year-old brother Bashir Ahmad. He said that his family had no enmity with anyone in the area.

Lahor police station registered an FIR and started investigation.
