KARACHI, March 24: Three ships carrying containers, crude oil and chemicals were berthed at QICT, Fotco Terminal and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, another container vessel also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 78 per cent as eight ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, seeds, fertilizer, crude oil, c hemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 63,383 tons comprising 51,134 tons of import and 12,240 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Thuringia Express, Indonesia Star, Al-Mariyah, Global Trader and M.V Hua Shan Hai left the port while Roseanne was due to depart. Camilla and Islamabad were awaiting for their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
