Punjab and AJK in final

LAHORE, March 22: Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) marched into final of the Inter-provincial Under-17 hockey championship at the National Hockey Stadium (NHS) on Wednesday. Two-goal Mohammad Faheem helped AJK stun last year runners- up Sindh 4-1 to enter the final. The teams were 1-1 in the first half.

Faheem struck in the 28th and the 40th minute while Sohrab (48th minute) and Mohsin Ashraf (50th minute) completed the scoring.

Shahnawaz Ali scored the solitary goal for Sindh in the 30th minute.

Two goals each by Shahbaz Ali and Haroon Zaheer propelled Punjab to complete 8-0 rout of Balochistan.

Shahbaz found the target in the 16th and the 30th minute while Zaheer sounded the board in the 18th and the 40th minute.

Khurram Shahzad (10th minute), Rashid Mahmood (42nd minute), Mohammad Rashid (55th minute) and Khurram Shahzad Junior (62nd minute) added one goal each.
