BEIJING, March 22: China has agreed to develop more balanced trade with Spain, the Spanish embassy said after Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos met here on Wednesday with the Chinese premier and foreign minister. Moratinos said trade had dominated his talks with Premier Wen Jiabao and Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, with China promising to import more goods from Spain and promote Spanish investment.

“They promised to find a balance in trade between both countries to try to cooperate and promote investment from Spain in China in energy, telecommunications and renewable energy,” a Spanish embassy spokesman said.—AFP
