KARACHI: At least five persons were arrested and a huge quantity of gutka and mawa was recovered in a raid in the Korangi area on Friday, police said.

They said that a task force led by Clifton ASP Aarez Tajwar raided three illegal factories of gutka/mawa in Korangi and seized the illegal substances.

This raid was conducted under directions of the IGP Sindh who had specially established the task force for this purpose.

These unhealthy and hazardous substances are easily available in the city without any restriction whatsoever, leading to various health issues among the citizens, especially the youth.
