ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Committee on the Appointment of Judges on Friday confirmed the nominations of three high court judges to the Supreme Court.

The committee confirmed the nominations of Lahore High Court Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, Sindh High Court Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmad Abbasi, and LHC Judge Justice Shahid Bilal at an in-camera meeting, held at the Parliament House.

Earlier on Nov 7, last year, the Judicial Comm­ission of Pakistan (JCP), presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa, had nominated these judges for elevation to the apex court.
