KARACHI: A suspected gangster was shot dead by his rival gang in Old Golimar on Saturday morning.
Pak Colony SHO Raja Khalid said that two rival gangs clashed with each other at Old Golimar near Shirin Bakery. As a resut, one of them, later identified as Mansoor Ismail, 30, was killed in the clash.
The police said that the killed suspect was an alleged gangster.
Later, the police raided a den of the gangsters in the same Old Golimar area, where an exchange of gunfire took place. As a result, one suspected gangster, Bilal alias Anday, was killed.
The police officer said the killed suspect belonged to the Riasat gang who had past criminal record.
Man gunned down off Northern Bypass
A young man was shot dead over some personal enmity at Sawan Goth off Northern Bypass on Saturday.
Gulshan-i-Maymar SHO Nadeem Siddiqi said that Ghulam Shabbir Khaskheli, 30, was gunned down allegedly by suspect Rasheed.
The victim and suspect both belonged to the same village in Mehar taluka and had a blood feud in which one person had already been killed. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Suspect shot dead in ‘encounter’
A suspected robber was shot dead while another arrested in wounded condition after an encounter near Dow University of Health Sciences on early Saturday morning.
Sachal police said that three suspects were looting a citizen at A.Q. Khan hospital on main Salimuzzaman Siddiqui Road, popularly known as Suparco Road, near Mosmiat roundabout when a patrolling police party reached the spot after receiving information.
In an ensuing exchange of firing, one suspect, identified as Zubair, was killed while Akbar was wounded, who along with another suspect, Kamran Jamali, was arrested, East-SSP said.
Two pistols, mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from their custody.
