Accusations of inhumane treatment at the Sde Teiman military field hospital are on the rise, with the Israeli government under growing pressure to shut it down, The Associated Press reports.
Three hospital employees told AP about the alleged mistreatment, corroborating claims by human rights groups. they described patients lying shackled and blindfolded on more than a dozen beds inside a white tent in the desert. Surgeries are performed without adequate painkillers and doctors remain anonymous.
The Israeli military denies the allegations of inhumane treatment and says all detainees needing medical attention receive it.
