ISLAMABAD, March 16: A 23-member strong Pakistan football team will leave for Dubai on March 21 to play practice matches there ahead of AFC Challenge Cup to be staged in Bangladesh next month.

The Pakistan team, already training at Jinnah Stadium, will also take on the United Arab Emirates’ national team during its string of warm-up matches at Dubai.

After the tour of UAE, the team will return home and then leave for Dhaka on March 29 to play the AFC Challenge Cup at Chittagong from April 1 to 16.

Sixteen teams will figure in the tournament with Pakistan grouped alongside Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in the preliminary round.—APP
