KARACHI, March 15: Arsalan Mir came up with a good all-round show as Lahore Eagles inflicted a five-wicket defeat on Rawalpindi Rams in the National One-day Regional Gold League fixture at the NBP Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Arsalan claimed three crucial wickets, including those of internationals Mohammad Wasim and Yasir Arafat, with his medium-pacers after the Eagles skipper Aamir Sajjad won the toss.

Apart from opener Mohammad Ibrahim, who scored a 52-ball 40 with five boundaries, the rest of batting disappointed and the Rams crashed to 128 all out in the 42nd over.

The Eagles lost five wickets by the 24th over, three of them to Yasir. But Arsalan (45 off 64 balls, six fours and one six) and Jahangir Mirza (32 off 42 balls, three fours) guided them home with an unbroken stand of 73.
