Gaza death toll rises to 34,789 since Oct 7: health ministry

At least 34,789 Palestinians have been killed and 78,204 injured in Israel’s military offensive on Gaza since Oct 7, Gaza’s health ministry has said in a statement, Reuters reports.

The tally includes at least 54 deaths in the past 24 hours, the statement added.
