MIRPURKHAS: Shahpur Chakar police recovered 21 bonded peasants, including women and children, after conducting raid on a brick kiln near here on Thursday on the directives of Sanghar sessions court.

Police officials said that one Waqeel Oadh had filed an application in the court of additional sessions judge Sanghar complaining that his family members were held captive at a brick kiln owned by Noorullah in the jurisdiction of Shahpur Chakar police station for last one and a half year. They were forced to work without wages and medical treatment and stopped from leaving the kiln, he said.
