SAVING WATER: Wasting water is a dangerous habit that will affect us sooner or later. In fact, it has already shown us how bad things can be in the fture. A lot water is wasted on a daily basis across the country, including thousands of mosques. This water can easily be stored and used to increase greenery in the surrounding areas. Mosque administrations should be actively encouraged to take effective steps in this direction.

VANISHED MONEY: In January this year, I sent some amount of money via mobile transfer through a trusted vendor to someone in Dadu. The vendor sent me the confirmation note of the money having been sent. However, that money has not been received in Dadu yet. The vendor has been chasing it with the head office of the relevant company, but it seems as if amount has simply vanished into thin air. The experience, frankly speaking, has been quite frustrating.

DENGUE IN TURBAT: The situation in Turbat is alarming as dozens of new cases of dengue fever are reported on a daily basis. Heavily populated areas, like Absar and Jusak, have been particularly affected. Pools of stagnant water happen to be the root cause of the problem. However, the local administration has been struggling to effectively manage the situation, resulting in a persistent increase in the number of dengue cases. The higher authorities need to intervene and address the issue immediately.

BATTLE AGAINST TRAFFIC: The challenges posed and frustrations caused by traffic congestion on Karachi roads are enormous. The stress and anxiety take a toll on people’s mental and physical wellbeing, while the financial burden of fuel costs and lost productivity further compound the issue. Urgent action is needed to address the growing issue of traffic menace.
