Al Jazeera Arabic shares footage showing the moment the car of Israel’s ultra-nationalist minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, overturned in a road accident after running a red light.

Israeli media said the crash happened as the country’s hardline national security minister was visiting the Israeli city of Ramle where a woman was reportedly stabbed earlier in the day.

Ben-Gvir was treated overnight in hospital for minor injuries, according to local media, which claimed he “regularly orders his driver to commit traffic infractions”.

One of Ben-Gvir’s daughters was also in the car and was injured along with a driver and a bodyguard, according to reports.
