The building would be quake-proof and have 10 lifts, a 1,000-kv power generator and a telephone exchange with supporting services in the basement. The ground floor would have an intensive care unit, two operation theatres and facilities of x-ray, ultra-sound and laboratory tests.

The first floor would have eight operation theatres, separate intensive care surgical and medical units, besides a 12-bed ward.

The plan incorporates parking spaces on the second and third floors, emergency male and female wards on the fourth floor, cardio ward, angiography laboratory and ICU on the fifth floor.

The sixth floor would have neuro and heart surgery wards whereas the seventh floor would house vascular and head, neck and maxillofacial surgery ward. Eye ward would be established on the eighth floor and faculty offices and cafeteria would be set up on the ninth floor.
