KARACHI, March 11: People working in the offices on I.I. Chundrigar Road have urged the city government to increase frequency of the shuttle service introduced recently.

They say that they do not find the shuttle service in peak hours of morning and evening. “Its absence, especially in the morning, is causing hardship and delay in reaching office in time,” said Mateenur Rehman, a bank employee.

He observed that the situation was better when the service was launched as the city government was charging fare for the travel. However, with the announcement of dropping the fare, the service had almost unavailable.

Shahana Jawaid, employee of a private company, stressed on raising the number of shuttles in the morning. “I had to walk to my office today after waiting in vain for a shuttle for more than half an hour at Regal Chowk. More than a dozen buses of regular routes passed by. Finally, I had to opt for one of them which dropped me far from my office,” she said.—APP
