THE ongoing barbarity unleashed by Zionist Israel on innocent people in Gaza and the West Bank is one of the most gruesome attempts of ethnic cleansing in human history. More than 32,000 Palestinians have been killed, including a large number of children and women. Some sense of sanity eventually prevailed at the United Nations Security Council when in a recent meeting it was able to pass a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire. It was supposed to be a crucial step, but, as things stand, the Zionists are in no mood to listen to any voice of sanity.

Although the boycott of products and brands supporting Israel has gained momentum worldwide, there is another front where the Arab countries and the rest of world may focus to effectively push Israel to do away with its barbaric mentality. The International Olympic Committee should be made to debar Israel from participating in the next Olympics that will be held in France. Writing to the committee should not be a Herculean task, one hopes, for the Muslim countries, especially those in the Arab world, that have so far been in a state of hibernation.
