AMMAN, March 9: Pakistan and Jordan on Thursday signed three agreements to boost cooperation in tourism, avoid double taxation and enhance interaction between foreign ministries.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, who is on a one-day visit to Jordan, and his Jordanian counterpart Dr Marouf Bakhet attended the signing ceremony.

DIALOGUE GROUP: The two countries also agreed in principle to set up a Strategic Dialogue Group, boost cooperation in the war against terrorism and enhance economic and trade ties.

The “wide-ranging and fruitful” round of talks had covered bilateral, regional and international issues, investment, interfaith dialogue, tourism and increased cooperation between the two private sectors, Mr Aziz and Dr Bakhet told a joint press conference.—APP
