LAHORE: The PML-N on Monday awarded a Punjab Assembly ticket to former MNA Malik Riaz for next month’s by-polls.

Riaz will contest on PP-147 (Lahore) which was vacated by MNA Hamza Shehbaz, son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Riaz, who used to contest on NA-117 in the past, was directed by the party leadership not to contest in the Feb 8 polls on this constituency as the party was to accommodate Istehkam-i-Pakistan (IPP) leader Aleem Khan.
