ISLAMABAD: The Ele­c­t­ion Commission of Paki­stan (ECP) on Tues­day iss­ued a certificate of intra-party election to the Paki­stan Tehreek-i-Insaf Par­­l­i­­a­­­m­entarians (PTI-P), weeks after Pervez Khatak step­ped down as head of the party.

Former KP chief minister Mahmood Khan has been elected as the chairman and Malik Afzal Din Khan as vice chairman.

The certificate, published on ECP’s website, contains detailed election result and a copy of notification showing the names and designations of the elected office bearers.

The certificate added that the date of last intra-party election was Dec 7 and another election was held in the first week of March.

In another notification, the ECP declared Musarrat Jabeen winner on a reserved seat for women in the Sindh Assembly
