LARKANA, March 8: District Naib Nazim Munawar Ali Abro on Wednesday accused the district coordination officer (DCO) of preparing development schemes in violaiton of district council decisions.

He told a press conference the council in its Jan 26 session had unanimously decided to route all development schemes through the council instead of getting them passed by district development committee.

But the DCO acted against the decision by remaining busy on March 7 preparing schemes to the tune of Rs97,000,000 under the Annual Development Pro-gramme, he said.

Munawar said zakat and ushr budget was not being distributed properly and pointed out corruption in the appointment of administrators of different dehs. Rs4 million of the district were squandered on repairs of circuit house which was Sindh government’s property without seeking permission from district council, he regretted.

To a question he said the issue had been conveyed to Sindh chief minister and he had promised to take some decision soon.
