KARACHI, March 8: A 10-member Chinese delegation of the ‘China NGO Network for International Exchanges’ would participate in the forthcoming World Social Forum (WSF) mega event being held here from March 24 to 29.

Mr Zhang Chaoyu, Consul (Culture) at the Chinese consulate, visited the WSF secretariat on Wednesday and discussed matters relating to the event. The Chinese diplomat described the event as significant.

He made mention of the traditional friendship between Pakistan and China, and hoped that the extravaganza would provide an opportunity for more interaction among people from around the world.

Mr B. M. Kutti, Dr Haroon Ahmad and Mir Zulfikar Shah briefed the Chinese diplomat on the objectives and charter of the WSF.
