KARACHI: Two held

Published March 9, 2006

KARACHI, March 8: Police arrested two men following the recovery of fake letter pads and rubber stamps of law enforcers on Wednesday. Police received a letter from the NAB in which they were directed to submit challan in two cases. After verification, the NAB authorities denied issuing such a letter. Police investigated and found that the cases were registered against Liaquat regarding a dishonoured cheque and a robbery.

“We were sure that the beneficiary of the letter is the complainant of the two cases. We raided the house of Shahid Ali and picked him up with his associate Aslam,” SSP Investigation said.—Staff Reporter
