KARACHI, March 8: Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s poetry is not only a great asset for Sindhi language but also for the oriental literature. This was stated by the vice-chancellor of Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Dr Iqbal Mohsin, while delivering presidential address in a seminar on poetry and teachings of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai on Wednesday.

Dr Mohsin appreciated Dr Amina Khamisani for her service in translating Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s poetry into English. Dr Nawaz Ali Shauq, who was the chief guest, said that through his poetry Bhitai delivered the message of peace, love and brotherhood.

Khurshid Abbasi, Prof Tauseef Ahmed Khan, Prof Nasir Khan, Dr Inayat Leghari, Dr Muhammad Ali Manji, Yasir Qazi also spoke. —APP
