Interior and Narcotics Minister Mohsin Naqvi has submitted his nomination papers for the forthcoming Senate elections as an independent candidate from Punjab.
During an interaction with journalists earlier today, the federal minister, who is also the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, confirmed that he would be contesting the Senate polls as an independent.
According to the law, he can only remain a minister for six months without being a member of the parliament.
