Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari on taking up the office of the head of the state as the two leaders discussed issues of bilateral importance on the telephone.

According to a press release issued by the Presidency, the two presidents stressed the need to improve further cooperation in all areas of mutual interest

President Zardari expressed his desire to invite the Turkish president and thanked him for his telephone and good wishes.

President Zardari also congratulated the people of Turkey on the holy month of Ramazan.
