KARACHI: Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd (PSMCL) has increased the price of Suzuki Swift GLX CVT by Rs304,000 to Rs5.429 million from Rs5.125m due to increase in general sales tax by seven per cent.

The government has raised the GST from 18pc to 25pc on locally assembled vehicles if their invoice price (excluding sales tax) exceeds Rs4m for the vehicles falling under chapter 87.03 of the Pakistan Customs Tariff.

Other auto assemblers are also analysing the GST hike and they would soon announce revised prices.
