CHINIOT: Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza says that 21,000 deserving people out of 106,514 have received Ramazan relief ration bags at their doorsteps within three days.

A transparent selection process has been employed to ensure quality items at competitive prices in the creation of ration bags. These bags include 10 kg of locally produced fine wheat atta, 2 kg of ghee, sugar, rice, and one-kilogram basin.

The procured items underwent initial sampling and verification by the laboratories of the Punjab Food Authority to ensure quality and suitability for use. They were then packed in a highly hygienic environment.

Regarding the identification of deserving families, Mr Raza said that they have received a list of 106,514 BISP beneficiaries, which was verified by district administration teams. The distribution operation is being carried out by 150 teams.

MUZAFFARGARH: The district administration has established fair price shops at Fayaz Park, in addition to Ramazan bazaars at district and tehsil levels.

Deputy Commissioner Mian Usman Ali said citizens could buy items from the Ramazan bazaar at affordable prices. Stalls offering sugar, ghee, flour, pulses and other essential items have been set up in these bazaars, allowing citizens to buy necessary items from the general market at reasonable prices.

To manage the rush of people in bazaars, strict security arrangements will be implemented, and an ample supply of essential items will be ensured.

DC Ali said officers of departments would maintain the quality of essential commodities in bazaars.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rajanpur Deputy Commissioner Dr Mansoor Ahmad Khan Baloch provided ration and cash for the relief and treatment of a patient suffering from elephantiasis.

A medical board, supervised by the medical superintendent of the Jampur THQ hospital, was formed, and the patient will be treated based on the board’s recommendations.

The DC, along with Jampur Assistant Commissioner Dr Zulqarnain Saleem and a team of doctors, visited Samina Bibi.

On this occasion, the medical team examined the woman and provided medications. Samina Bibi had appealed to the chief minister for help and treatment.

Also, the commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan held a meeting in which all deputy commissioners of Dera Ghazi Khan division participated.
