Islamabad police have registered a criminal complaint against several PTI leaders, including Sher Afzal Marwat, for allegedly blocking the road while participating in one of several protests called by the party.

“The FIR (first information report) contains false allegations of ‘road blockade’ as we did not allow ‘road blockade’ at any stage of our rally and protest,” Marwat wrote in a post on X. He also posted the FIR in question.

He added that such FIRs “are adding more feathers in our cap” and lending credibility to the struggle for the cause of incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan.

Among other leaders listed in the FIR were Malik Shafqat Awan, Ali Bukhari, Shoaib Ahmed Shaheen and Shaukat Basra.
