Biden wants to see a Rafah evacuation plan, says Israeli foreign minister

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said President Biden wants to see a plan to evacuate Palestinians before an Israeli military operation in Rafah.

“We evacuated more than a million Palestinians from north to south and now we have to move them west and to other areas before the Rafah operation,” he said in remarks quoted by Israeli public radio, Al Jazeera reports.

Israel has been carrying out air strikes on the city in southern Gaza that is filled with displaced people who fled from the north of the enclave due to Israel’s offensive.
