‘Not a single inch is safe,’ says Gazan who survived Israeli attack on home

At least 13 women and children — including a five-month-old baby girl — were killed after an Israeli air strike hit a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip where 21 displaced Palestinians were sheltering, Al Jazeera reports.

The grandfather of one of the children killed told Al Jazeera that he was the only man inside the house.

“There is no safe zone all over the Gaza Strip,” he said. “Not a single inch is safe. The Israelis are lying. We were told that southwards is safe. We were forced to take shelter here. We are all civilians. All those inside the house were women and children.

“There is nothing called the international court or international humanitarian law,” he said. “All of these are just lies. All these names were created to back the strong against the weak; the oppressor against the oppressed.”
