A 45-year-old Palestinian man has been wounded in the face after Israeli forces fired live ammunition during their raid on the Balata refugee camp, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, Al Jazeera reports.
Ahmed Jibril, the director of the Ambulance and Emergency Centre at the Red Crescent in Nablus, said the man was injured by bullets to his face and was being transferred to a hospital.
According to Wafa news agency, the Israeli army sent military reinforcements and a bulldozer to the refugee camp after clashing with Palestinian resistance fighters, who had detonated an explosive device in one of the military vehicles.
Two Palestinians, Mohammad Tanji and Adel Abu Lail, were arrested by Israeli forces before they withdrew from the camp.
