Qatar’s ministry of foreign affairs says it is meeting with Egyptian diplomats amid efforts to negotiate a ceasefire in Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani is meeting his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Doha, the ministry said in a statement posted on X.

As well as strengthening bilateral relations, the meeting is aimed at discussing the “latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories”.

In addition, they will address the ongoing “discussions between the two sides with regional and international partners for the achievement of an immediate ceasefire and the continuous delivery of humanitarian aid without impediments”.
