Commotion ensued in today’s National Assembly session as PTI’s Omar Ayub raised objections and speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf attempted to carry on with the proceedings.

“You have the right to object but don’t hinder the session. Let me complete the agenda,” Ashraf said.

“If you don’t have a speaker you cant have elections, can you?” he asked.

Chants of “chorr” [thief] and “na-manzoor” [unacceptable] were heard as the speaker of the House attempted to proceed with the session’s agenda of electing a new speaker.
