Speaking to Dawn News, PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar has stated that in his opinion, the medical condition of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is not ideal.

“When Nawaz Sharif came, he was a candidate for prime minister and when the election was going on, he was still a candidate for prime minister,” he said, questioning the reason behind Nawaz’s decision to withdraw from the race.

He said that the prime minister’s office was associated with a lot of stress and Nawaz’s medical condition was not such that he could withstand it.

“If he had announced it at the beginning, then PML-N hearts would have been broken,” he said, adding that the PML-N workers and voters would not have performed the way they did in the Feb 8 polls.
