KARACHI: The National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) has presented its former faculty member and renowned thespian Talat Hussain with a memento in recognition of his services to the performing arts.

The chairman of Napa’s board of directors, Syed Jawaid Iqbal, and Chief Executive Officer Junaid Zuberi paid a visit to Mr Hussain’s residence where the memento was presented to him, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.

Mr Iqbal paid glowing tributes to the legendary actor for his contribution in the field of radio, TV, film, and most notably theatre.

He said that he remained one of the few people from a generation that had mesmerised the stage in all fields with the nuance that was hard to find in most of the performers.
