NORTH WAZIRSTAN: National Democratic Movement (NDM) workers and members of Darpakhel tribe staged a demonstration here on Tuesday against alleged manipulation in election results and firing over innocent protesters in which three people were killed and several others injured, including former MNA Mohsin Dawar, in Miramshah the other day.

People in large numbers blocked the Miramshah-Mirali and Miramshah-Dattakhel roads in front of the Miramshah Press Club.

NDM leaders Malik Saifullah Darpakhel, Adil Dawar, Syed Noor Dawar Darpakhel, Sher Wali Khan Dawar Darpakhel and others led the protesters.

Addressing the gathering in front of the press club, the speakers alleged that the government had given the seat won by Mohsin Dawar to someone else.

The speakers also alleged that the government authorities fired on innocent protesters, killing three people and seriously injuring several others, including Mohsin Dawar, when they protested the alleged rigging.

Addressing the protesters, Adil Dawar said that protests would continue until Mohsin Dawar was declared the winner.

Meanwhile, Miramshah DSP Syed Jal Wazir held talks with the protesters, requesting them to end the agitation.
