FAISALABAD, March 2: Students of a private medical college staged a protest demonstration and observed hunger strike outside the offices of city district nazim against the cancellation of licence of their medical college on Thursday.

The students carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans observed hunger strike and threatened to continue it unto death if their demands were not accepted within 24 hours.

The protesters claimed that they got admission about a couple of years ago and paid thousands of rupees fee. However, the HEC refused to list the college due to which they had been kicked out from the medical examination of this year.

They said if the government was aware of the illegal practice of the college administration, why action was not taken before their admissions. They urged the government to allow them to take examinations. — Staff Correspondent
