Israeli forces arrested 14 Palestinians in the town of Beit Ummar, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The army raided their homes before arresting them, Wafa said, adding roads leading to the town were also closed.

Beit Ummar is located near the southern city of Hebron. Israeli authorities have stepped up arrests of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since October 7 with thousands arrested, Al Jazeera reports.

Close to 300 people have been killed in the territory since the Gaza invasion started, with illegal settler attacks against Palestinians and their properties on the rise.
