The election commissioner Sindh stated that they were in contact with the provincial government, director general Sindh Rangers and other institutions concerned to ensure proper security during the Feb 8 general elections.

The closed-circuit television cameras had been installed at all sensitive polling stations throughout the province and all the preparations and arrangements for the polls had been put in place, he added.

About possibility of closure of internet service on polling day, he did not rule out the same, but said that the government will decide about it keeping the law and order situation in view.
