KHAR (Bajaur Agency), March 1: Political and religious parties have called for a complete strike on Friday to observe it as a “black day” against the visit of the US President George W. Bush.
Speaking at a joint press conference here on Wednesday, leaders of various religio-political parties and representatives of traders’ organisations said that all markets and business concerns in the agency would remain closed as a mark of protest on March 3 against the visit of President Bush to Islamabad.
Anjuman-i-Tajran president Haji Khan Badshah, All Bajaur Shopkeepers Association leader Haji Mohammad Zaman, Jamaat-i-Islami Bajaur amir and MNA Sahibzada Haroonur Rashid said that the killing of innocent people in the US air strike on Damadola village in the agency in January had established the fact that was a ‘killer’.
