Israeli protesters, including the relatives of captives held in Gaza, have arrived at an Israeli-controlled border crossing in an attempt to block aid reaching Palestinians in Gaza for a seventh straight day, Al Jazeera reports.

Demonstrators organised by the Tzav 9 organisation of reservists headed towards the Karem Abu Salem crossing – called Kerem Shalom in Israel – carrying Israeli flags and banners, according to social media posts and Israeli media.

“There is no logic in having the trucks enter directly into the hands of Hamas terrorists,” Tzav 9 said in a statement, The Times of Israel reported. “We are prepared for this trying time together with thousands of supporters who demand that the supplies to Hamas be halted.”

Protesters have previously succeeded in blocking some of the aid, but Israel had deployed some soldiers to prevent them on Sunday and Saturday.
