QUETTA: The election office of the PPP on Sariab Road was ransacked by a mob on Thursday.

The attack occurred when a group of unknown individuals, gathered near the office to welcome the participants of the Turbat long march, attacked the closed office.

The individuals, who had covered their faces with scarves, burned the party’s flags, posters, and office furniture.

They also tore the posters and flags of Balochistan National Party-Mengal displayed along the roadside for election campaign.

Subsequently, they fled from the site.

Two injured in Dera Bugti

Separatel, two brothers were injured in an explosion in the Lando-Nallah area of Sui tehsil, Dera Bugti district, on Thursday.

Levies officials said the victims who were tribal elders and associates of former interior minister and provincial assembly candidate Mir Sarfraz Bugti, were injured in a roadside explosive attack while travelling.

They were identified as Ahmed Bugti and Yasin Bugti and belonged to the Kalpar tribe, a clan of the Bugti tribe.
