In the last few minutes, Israeli media has been reporting that the two planes carrying aid from Qatar have landed in Egypt, Al Jazeera’s Stefanie Dekker reports from occupied East Jerusalem.

There is a lot of pressure in Israel from the families of the captives to give proof that these medications will arrive at their intended destination.

We expect that once these planes get unloaded, Israel will check them, after which they will be taken into the Gaza Strip and handed over to the Red Cross who will then divide it up. The medication intended for captives held in Gaza will be handed over to Hamas in return for some increased aid to the Palestinians.

As we know, any aid into Gaza has experienced delays and it’s important to remember that Gaza was already hugely dependent on aid before this conflict broke out.
