The Israeli military has released a new data set on its operations in Gaza, claiming that “about 9,000” Palestinian fighters have been killed in the enclave since the war began.

The Israeli military said the Palestinian fighters killed included 19 major generals and two brigadier generals, Al Jazeera reports.

Another 170 fighters will killed in cross-border fighting “in the arena of the north” of Israel, according to the data. It was not immediately clear whether that figure accounted for fighters killed in both Lebanon and Syria.
