The Israeli army has claimed to have killed “dozens” of Hamas fighters, including a local commander in Gaza’s al-Maghazi, Al Jazeera reports.

The army’s spokesman for Arab media, Avichay Adraee, announced this in a post on X, but did not name the commander.

He also said the Israeli air force launched an attack on a building allegedly used by Hamas in Khan Younis, killing seven fighters, including a local commander who had taken part in the October 7 attack.

Adraee claimed that the Israeli army found a number of assault rifles and RPG launchers in Khan Younis, which it destroyed, and used a drone to kill a Hamas fighter in Bureji in central Gaza.
